The Journal of the Korean Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (KSTLE) contains theoretical and experimental papers on the research fields of interacting surfaces in relative motion, including, but not limited to: friction and wear, fluid film lubrication, elastohydrodynamic lubrication, lubricant, macro- to nano-scale Tribology, Tribo-chemistry, surface properties and characterization, contact mechanics, magnetic recordings, tribological systems, seals, bearing design and technology, gears, metalworking, lubricants, and artificial joints. The papers will be interesting to academic, industrial and government researchers and technologists working in various subjects including: Aerospace, Agriculture & Forest, Appliances, Automotive, Biomedical Devices, Industrial Engineering, Lubricants, Lubricant Additives, Magnetic Data Storage, Manufacturing, Marine, Materials, MEMs and NEMs, Mining, Power Generation, Surface Engineering and Testing and Analysis.

Journal Foundation and Publishing
The Journal of the Korean Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers, also known as ¡°Journal of (the) KSTLE¡±, has been published continuously since October 30, 1985. The journal is published in both print (ISSN 1229-4845) and online (ISSN 2287-4845) editions bimonthly at the end of the months: February, April, June, August, October, and December (6 issues per year). The print edition journal has been delivered to 800 international members of the Korean Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers, and the abstracts or full texts of the journal papers are accessible online at the websites of Google Scholar, KCI, and DBPia.
Subscription Fee
The Journal is free for members of the KSTLE and online materials can be accessed for free on the KSTLE homepage. For more information, please refer to the KSTLE office.

Collection of dissertation from symposium: Starting with the 1st Academic Symposium in June, 1985, the Society hosts symposiums in the spring and fall of every year.

Glossary of Equipment and Lubricant Terms: With the support from National Research Foundation of Korea in 2005, Tribology-related vocabularies were selected and were put together as 'Glossary of Equipment and Lubricant Terms' to correct the definitions and transcription of vocabularies by comparing Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and English words.
